Bio:

Thiago Pereira is a former swimmer, four-time Olympian for Brazil and the silver medalist in the 400 IM in London in 2012. He made his first Olympic team when he was 18 years old in 2004 (Athens), then went on to compete in Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016. During his career, Thiago won three FINA World Championships medals in long course (2 in Barcelona 2013, 1 in Kazan 2015), and was 5-time Short Course World medalist in Indianapolis 2004, where he won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. He was also record holder in 2007 Short Course Championships in 200m IM, and 3 time Pan-Pacific Games medalist. He is also the most decorated athlete in the history of the Pan American Games with 23 medals (15 golds). Thiago was appointed as National best athlete in 2007, and three times best swimmer in 2007, 2012, 2015. He is now member of several Athletes Commissions: Brazilian Olympic Committee, FINA, Pan American Sports Organization, LA24 Exploratory Committee.
