Bio:
Mr Frederick Russell-Rivoallan is Programme Specialist, Head of Social and Human Sciences, UNESCO-Beijing. He is a Political Scientist and Policy Analyst, with over thirty years international work experience. He has worked for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1997. He is Secretary of the Programme and External Relations Commission of the Executive Board of UNESCO following his appointment as Policy Advisor to three Chairpersons of the Executive Board.
Previously he was Policy Analyst for the Social and Human Sciences (SHS) in UNESCO’s Bureau of Strategic Planning, providing substantive guidance for the elaboration of the Organization’s Programme and Medium-Term Strategy. Mr Russell-Rivoallan studied International Relations at Glendon College, York University, Canada (B.A. (Hons), 1993) and graduated from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, with a Master of Science in International Public Policy (MSc, 1996).
