Mr. Arnaldo Rivero Fuxá is an Advisor for the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS), which was established in 1978 to promote the role and value of sport and its inclusion in public policy. CIGEPS’s main mission is to guide and supervise the planning and implementation of UNESCO’s strategy and programme in the field of physical activity and sport. In parallel, Mr. Fuxá chairs the Permanent Planning Committee of the Pan-American Congresses on Physical Education (CPEF).
Arnaldo Rivero Fuxá has served for 52 years in the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) of Cuba in various capacities, for the system of Sports Education, Science, Technology and Innovation. Mr. Fuxá is the Vice-President of the International Federation of Physical Education (FIEP) and Senior Lecturer of the University of Sciences of Physical Culture and Sports of Cuba (UCCFD).
