Bio:

Born as Han nationality in Jinhua, Zhejiang in January 1965, Jin Chenglong holds a master’s degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. He once served as Deputy Secretary of CPC Hangzhou Jianggan District Committee, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Director of Hangzhou Land Resources Bureau, Director of Shanghai (Shenzhen) Office of Hangzhou Municipal Government, and Deputy Secretary General of Hangzhou Municipal Government. In January 2015, Jin was named the CPC Committee Secretary and Director of Hangzhou Sports Bureau as well as Deputy Secretary General of the organising committees of the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships (25M) and the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022. Jin always stresses work style cultivation, team building, and foundation consolidation, and leads the city’s sports workers in their steady work and pioneering innovation, bringing major progress to the development of sports in Hangzhou. Under his leadership, Hangzhou has cultivated a large number of excellent athletes, especially in swimming. Hangzhou athletes have harvested up to 102 gold medals in Olympic Games, Asian Games, and other world or Asian-wide games, including 6 Olympic gold medals by 3 athletes. This helps Hangzhou to secure the position of “Zhejiang leads swimming in China, Hangzhou leads swimming in Zhejiang”, and enables Hangzhou to promote its swimming training experience nationwide.
